As parents, we all want our children to learn at home or after school in the same way, standard, and method they follow in school. However, in reality, there is often a noticeable gap between school teaching and traditional home tutoring.
I am Samima Sultana Daisy, and with nearly 15 years of teaching experience in English Medium schools, I have closely observed these challenges.
In school, children are taught phonics-based word and sentence reading. But due to a lack of proper training or curriculum understanding, many home tutors use spelling-based methods, which often confuses young learners.
The same issues appear in other subjects as well:
Concept mismatch in Mathematics
Weak foundation in Grammar
Inconsistency in reading and pronunciation
For young children, consistency in teaching tone and method is extremely important. When after-school learning does not follow the same approach used in school, it disrupts a child’s learning process and affects confidence.
This understanding and experience led to the creation of Booky Learning—to ensure that school learning and after-school learning remain aligned, structured, and effective.
